For a town this size that might look like more presence than the population warrants, but the reason is geographic rather than commercial: it puts a crew and equipment on the upper Lake Murray side of Newberry County, which shortens the response for a lot of rural addresses that would otherwise be a long run from either Newberry or West Columbia.

A lake house running heavy summer irrigation places a very different load on a fracture-fed well than a farmhouse using a few hundred gallons a day.
