Common Water Problems

What's In Your Water?

Iron & Rust Staining

Orange stains in your sinks, tubs, and toilets? High iron content is the most common well water issue in the SC Midlands. Iron filtration eliminates it completely.

Hard Water

Scale buildup on fixtures, soap that won't lather, appliances wearing out early β€” hard water costs you money and comfort. A whole-home softener solves it.

Sulfur Smell

That "rotten egg" smell is hydrogen sulfide β€” naturally occurring in many SC wells. We can eliminate it with the right filtration or aeration system.

Bacteria & Coliform

Coliform bacteria in well water is a serious health concern. UV purification kills 99.9% of bacteria and viruses without chemicals and requires no maintenance beyond an annual bulb swap.

Nitrates

Elevated nitrates β€” from fertilizers and septic systems β€” can be a health risk, especially for infants. We test for nitrates and install the right treatment if levels are elevated.

Sediment & Turbidity

Cloudy or gritty water means sediment is getting through. Whole-home sediment filters protect your appliances, water heater, and fixtures.

Treatment Options

Systems We Install & Service

  • Whole-home water softeners β€” properly sized for your household
  • UV purification systems β€” bacteria and virus elimination without chemicals
  • Reverse osmosis β€” drinking water systems for the kitchen
  • Carbon filtration β€” taste, odor, and chlorine removal
  • Sediment pre-filters β€” protects all downstream equipment
  • Aeration systems β€” removes hydrogen sulfide and dissolved gases
  • Acid neutralizers β€” raises low pH to protect plumbing and appliances

Common Questions

Water Treatment FAQ

Is the free water analysis really free?

Yes β€” we include a water analysis with every service call at no charge. If you want a more comprehensive lab analysis (bacteria culture, full chemical panel), we can arrange that too.

How do I know if I need a water softener vs. iron filter?

That's exactly what the water test tells us. Iron and hardness are different problems requiring different solutions. Many SC homes have both β€” we'll help you prioritize and find the most cost-effective approach.

How much does a water treatment system cost?

It depends on what your water needs. A basic sediment filter is very different from a whole-home iron filtration + softener system. We give you a firm price after the analysis so there are no surprises.

Does UV purification use chemicals?

No β€” UV purification uses ultraviolet light to kill bacteria and viruses. There are no chemicals, no byproducts, and no change to water taste or chemistry. The only maintenance is an annual UV bulb replacement.

How long does installation take?

Most treatment system installations are completed in a single day. More complex multi-stage systems may require two visits, but we'll tell you upfront what to expect.

Equipment Warranty Included

All treatment systems we install carry manufacturer warranties plus our installation guarantee. Details β†’
